• Right after Yuhui Lee’s birth, he was handed over to his aunt by his family for care who he addresses as ‘Mom.’

  

• Yuhui Lee met his biological mother for the first time when he was 11 years old. Yuhui Lee does not know who his father is.
  

  

• At the age of 23, he lost his mother. He then moved to Chile to study on a scholarship program. He was quoted saying in an interview that
  

  I came because I wanted to be as far away as possible when my mother passed away in 2012. I was sad, I said ‘I don’t want to stay there’ and I ran away.”

• He decided to move to Chile because he was a big fan of the Chilean footballer Alexis Sánchez.

• After completing his university education, he opened a cosmetic and beauty shop to get his work visa but he didn’t do well at maintaining his business. He also did the job of a waiter at a restaurant for a year and he only used to receive tips and was never given a fixed salary.

• In 2017, Yuhui Lee took part in season 3 of the Chilean television competitive cooking show titled ‘MasterChef Chile.’

  

• In the same year, he was invited as a guest in the Chilean TV show titled ‘Vértigo’ which was telecast on Channel 13.

• In 2020, he started his YouTube channel and started uploading his cooking videos on the same. He holds more than 17 thousand subscribers on his YouTube channel; as of 2024.

• In 2021, Yuhui Lee participated in season 2 of the Chilean culinary television show titled ‘El discípulo del chef’ and he became the finalist of the show.

• In 2022, Yuhui Lee again took part in season 4 of the Chilean culinary television show titled ‘El discípulo del chef’ and he won the show this time. After winning the show, he was handed over a restaurant by the organisers of the show as a prize.

  

• In the same year, he became part of the Chilean TV series titled ‘Sabingo.’

  

• In 2023, Yuhui Lee participated in ‘Teletón’ which is a charity event held in Chile on a yearly basis since 1978.

  

• In 2024, Yuhui Lee took part in season 2 of the reality competition television series titled ‘Gran Hermano Chile.’
