• Vishal Brahma grew up in Kokrajhar, Assam.

  

• After completing his formal education, he began working as a model and participated in various beauty pageants and fashion competitions.

  

• In 2019, Vishal Brahma appeared as Samrat in the Bollywood film ‘Student of the Year 2’ in which he worked alongside Indian actors Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria, and Ananya Panday.

• In 2021, he won the ‘Garnier Men Mega Mister North East’ beauty pageant organised by Mega Entertainment, an event management company in Guwahati, Assam.

  

• Vishal Brahma then appeared in the Assamese film ‘Bihu Attack.’

• In August 2024, he accused the makers of the film ‘Bihu Attack’ of not paying him.

• He said that he stayed on the set for a month at his own expense and claimed that he waited two months for a response from the production team, but nobody from the team cleared his payment.

• Vishal Brahma then posted a video on Instagram showing actor Arbaaz Khan and film director Dev Menaria announcing their new film, which was released in October 2024.

• He commented under the post asking for his pending payment, but the production team deleted his comments and blocked him.

• After that, in a media conversation, Vishal Brahma said that after finishing the project in the North East in June 2024, he tried to contact the production house. However, they stopped answering his calls and even blocked him.

• He shared a screenshot of his deleted comment along with the video in his post. He wrote,

• In September 2025, Vishal Brahma came into the limelight when he was arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

• During police investigations, it was revealed that he was in urgent need of money and asked some friends in Delhi for help.

• Vishal Brahma then met a member of a Nigerian drug gang through his friends.

• The gang member offered him a free holiday trip to Cambodia and a few lakhs of rupees. In return, he had to smuggle drugs back to Delhi in India.

• After enjoying the trip and parties, another Nigerian handed him a trolley bag in Cambodia. Vishal Brahma then flew from Cambodia to Delhi.

• The bag had a hidden compartment in which four kg of methaqualone worth Rs. 40 crore was kept. Vishal Brahma was told to travel from Cambodia to Chennai via Singapore.

• On 28 September 2025, he landed in Chennai on an Air India flight AI 347. He was caught at Chennai International Airport by DRI officials.

• As per the plan, Vishal Brahma was supposed to check into a hotel near Dr MGR Chennai Central railway station and then take a train to Delhi the same night, where a gang member was to collect the trolley bag from him.

• He is a fitness enthusiast and goes to the gym regularly. He often shares pictures of his gym sessions on social media.
