Vinay Razdan served as an HR Manager at ITC Limited from 1988 to 2000.

From 2000 to 2006, he worked as an Associate Vice President at HCL Technologies.

In January 2006, Vinay Razdan began working as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Idea Cellular Limited in Mumbai, India. He served in the position till August 2018.

In September 2018, he was appointed as the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) at HDFC Bank in Mumbai, India. He served in the position till June 2025. His resignation was announced in the media by the bank. It stated,

“Vinay Razdan has tendered his resignation as the Chief Human Resource Officer of the Bank and the Bank has accepted the said resignation with effect from the close of business hours today, i.e., 18 June.”

Vinay Razdan is an animal lover and has a pet Labrador dog named Freddie.
