• In 2010, while pursuing his graduation in Bhopal, Vikas Verma began working as an intern for Aaj Tak. He interned there till November 2010.

• In January 2012, Vikas Verma started working as an investigator as part of a Special investigation team (SIT) at Cobra Post.

• During his time at Cobra Post, he worked on a Sting Operation to expose a Money Laundering case.

• In June 2013, he moved to Bhopal and became an investigative Reporter for the Patrika Group.
