Some Lesser Known Facts About Vijay Lal Yadav

• Since childhood, he has been inclined towards singing. He used to listen to his father singing and from there, he developed an interest in singing.

• In 1970, he started his career as a singer.

• He gained immense popularity with the Bhojpuri song “Khadi Ba Sumo Humaar.”

• He considers the late politician Mulayam Singh Yadav his political guru and Akhilesh Yadav his leader.

  

• The Bharatiya Janta Party leader Dinesh Lal Yadav is his cousin. Vijay followed the footsteps of Dinesh and pursued his career as a singer and politician.

• Some of his songs are Piya Pardesiya, Padh Re Bhai, Pakistan Ko Lalkar, and Pachrangi Birha.

• In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he campaigned for the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav against his cousin and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua).

  

• After this, Vijay Lal Yadav campaigned for Samajwadi Party candidate and Akhilesh Yadav’s cousin brother Dharmendra Yadav against his cousin brother Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua) in the Azamgarh Lok Sabha by-election in Uttar Pradesh 2022.

  

• After a photo of Vijay and Dinesh Lal Yadav went viral on social media, SP District President Ramdhari Yadav wrote a letter to the state president of Samajwadi Party to expel him from Samajwadi Party and demanded the expulsion of Vijay Yadav from the party.

• He loves to do horse riding in his leisure time.

  

• On 30 June 2022, his Fortuner car lost balance and collided with a divider near Barabanki while he was travelling to Lucknow to attend a program. His car lost balance and the car turned three to four times due to which he was seriously injured. He was admitted to Vedanta Hospital in an injured condition.
