- In December 2022, the actress was murdered by her own son over a property dispute. Her son, Sachin Kapoor, killed her by smashing her head with a baseball bat multiple times and dumped her dead body into a river near Raigad district with the help of his servant, Lalu Kumar Mandal.
- In an interview, her friend and co-star in the show “Bhabhi” Nilu Kohli said that Veena Kapoor wanted to buy her own house and worked really hard for it.
