• In an old livestream, Valeria Marquez said that someone had come to the salon with an expensive gift when she was not there. She seemed worried and mentioned that she was not planning to wait for that person to return.

• The shooting incident happened around 6:30 pm at her Blossom Beauty Lounge in Mexico.

• A man pretending to be a delivery person came to the salon and shot her during the livestream.

• Ricardo Ruiz Velazco, also known as ‘El Doble RR’, ‘RR’, or ‘El Tripa’, was linked to the shooting, and on 14 May 2025, during the police investigation, it was reported that he was the main suspect.

• The Jalisco state prosecutor’s office said that Velazco was in a relationship with Valeria Marquez for several months.

• Reportedly, he was upset because she received expensive gifts from her fans.

• The case was being treated as a femicide, a crime where a woman is killed because of her gender.
