• Upen’s family hails from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, their family moved to Uganda, East Africa in the year 1972. Later, they settled in London, England.

  

• While he was studying in school, he participated in various football competitions. He has participated in the Under-16 and Under-19 teams at the state level in the UK.

• While in school and college, he also participated in various stage plays and musicals.
