  • Tarun is the founder of The Indian Jam Project, a unique band that fuses Hindustani classical music with Western classical elements.
  • Tarun initially wanted to keep the band name “Indian Jam Session,” but had to change it to The Indian Jam Project because the famous composer and pianist Michael Price tweeted about “Indian Jam” as a band name.
  • After the success of the Game of Thrones Theme (Indian Version), Tarun also released Indian versions of themes such as the BBC Sherlock Theme, Pirates of the Caribbean Theme, and Harry Potter Music, among many others.

  • Tarun comes from a lineage of bureaucrats and had no connection to the field of music, except for his great-grandfather, who was a multi-instrumentalist.

Because it was an American school, he assumed there must be a music room, so he began exploring about. He discovered one that included a little piano and was used as a practice area. He sat down and started playing music. And it became the title tune for ‘Dancing on the Grave’.
