• Trisha Goddard grew up in Tanzania and England.

  

• In her childhood, she was beaten by her father due to which she developed obsessive-compulsive behaviour. She even dropped out of her school, to join an all-girl music band.

• While growing up, Trisha and her mother faced racism.

• When Trisha was 14 years old, she was sexually assaulted.

• At the age of 15, she did a part-time job at Woolies in Egham, Surrey for a wage of £5 a day.  At that time, she used to steal sweets from the pick ‘n’ mix.

  

• After her mother’s demise, she came to know that whom she thought was her biological father was not her biological father.

• When she left school, she worked at a costume shop Morris Angel & Son in Shaftesbury Avenue for £17 a week.

• She also worked as a flight attendant for the Gulf Air. While she was working there, she survived a plane crash. After quitting the job as a flight attendant, she worked as a travel writer for a magazine.

  

• She has worked as a mental health activist for a few years. She once said that she had suffered various mental health issues and even attempted suicide twice.

• She has performed in various stage plays.

  

• In an interview, she revealed that in the 1980s, she was infected with AIDS which she contracted from her ex-husband.

• She met the Australian politician Robert Nestdale in 1985 while she was working as a flight attendant. There were rumours that Robert was gay and reportedly, that was the reason she parted ways with him. Robert died of AIDS complications in 1989. Trisha once said that Robert was physically abusive to her.

• She has worked as a presenter in various English TV shows like The 7:30 Report (1988), Trisha (1988), The Most Outrageous TV Moments Ever (2005), Britain’s Psychic Challenge (2006), and Sky News Tonight (2021).

  

• As a guest, she has been invited to various English TV shows such as Late Lunch (1999), Stars in Their Eyes (1999), Harry Hill’s TV Burp (2006), and Piers Morgan Uncensored (2023).

  

• In 2000, she lent her voice to the English song “Do You Know the Way to San Jose” for the TV series Stars in Their Eyes.

• She has acted in the English TV show Fat Friends (2004), Doctor Who (2006), and The Funny Side Of… (2010).

  

• Trisha has participated in various English TV shows such as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (2005) and Dancing on Ice (2020).

  

• She worked as an executive producer for the English TV mini-series Britain’s Psychic Challenge (2006).

• In 2008, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was treated at an early stage and was cured. In 2023, her breast cancer relapsed. The doctors diagnosed her and said that the cancer was treatable, not curable.

• In 2008, she penned her autobiography Trisha: As I Am.
