• Tripuarana Vijay lives with his family in the Ayyappanagar locality of Tekkali.

• He was interested in cricket and trained at the Kadapa Cricket Academy.

• He later played in the 2013-2014 Inter-district North Zone Under-14 tournament.

• He took 19 wickets and scored 265 runs in 6 matches in an Under-19 ACA North Zone Tournament.

• He gave good performances in the 2021-2022 Interstate Cricket Under-23 Tournament following which he was selected for training at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

• During a match against Hyderabad in the Inter-State Under-25 One-Day Cricket Tournament, he made headlines by taking 6 wickets for 14 runs in 4.4 overs.

• He made headlines by playing for Godavari Titans in the Andhra Premier League (APL).

  

• During a Ranji Trophy match against Rajasthan in the 2024-2025 season, he helped Andhra Pradesh win by taking a 10-wicket haul with 5 wickets for 62 runs in the first innings and 5 wickets for 22 runs in the second innings.

  

• In the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, Delhi Capitals (DC) acquired him for his base price of Rs 30 lakhs.

  

• After his selection, the Civil Aviation Minister, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, also congratulated the cricketer for becoming the first cricketer from his district to be selected for an IPL team.

  

• Co-incidentally, the founder chairman of the GMR Group, the co-owner of Delhi Capitals, is Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao, who is from Rajam of Srikakulam.
