• Trinetra Haldar Gummaraju is an Indian doctor, content creator, and actor. She leverages her social media influence to promote understanding and awareness of the LGBTQAI+ community. Trinetra stands out as one of the pioneering transgender content creators in India, sharing her transition journey on platforms like Instagram and YouTube.

• According to her, she spent the initial eight years of her life in Hyderabad.

• When Trinetra was young, she loved donning her mother’s saree and adorning herself with a bindi. While these actions were initially seen as charming by her family and neighbours, perceptions shifted as she aged. As she grew up, neighbours started suggesting that she participate in activities conventionally tied to boys, like playing cricket. In an interview, Trinetra mentioned that these comments prompted her parents to seek advice from a renowned psychiatrist, who believed she required a stronger masculine presence in her life.

  

• In an interview, Trinetra recounted a poignant memory from her school days about a hairclip she was fond of, worn by a classmate. Hesitant to admit her own desire to wear it, she told her friend that her mother wanted to try it. The friend, in good faith, handed it over. When the teacher noticed the hairclip’s absence and discovered that Trinetra had it, she clipped it onto Trinetra’s hair in full view of the class. The subsequent laughter from her peers deeply embarrassed Trinetra, leading her to shed tears for the following two periods.

• In 2015, she was recognized for achieving the highest score of 98% in Physics in the All India Senior School Certificate Examination conducted by CBSE, New Delhi.

• At the age of 18, Trinetra started therapy and was diagnosed with gender incongruence, along with signs of depression and other mental health challenges tracing back to her younger years. In 2017, she had a facial hair reduction procedure. She publicly announced her identity on 31 December 2017 by sharing artwork on Facebook with the caption ‘Call Me Trinetra.’ By February 2023, she had undergone gender confirmation surgery overseas.
