• Surya Kiran (1974-2024) was an Indian film director and screenwriter.

• Surya was born in a South Indian family in Chennai, later, he moved to Hyderabad to pursue his career in films.
  

  

  

  

• He was very close to his maternal grandmother, and he shared many photos of his grandmother on his social media accounts.
  

  

  

• In his childhood, he acted in more than 200 films as a child actor along with popular South Indian actors like Chiranjeevi, Akkineni Nagarjuna, and Rajinikanth.

• He appeared as younger Nagarjuna in the Telugu film ‘Sankeertana’ in 1987. At that time, he was popular as “Master Suresh” in South Indian films.
  

  

  

• He worked as a director in various Telugu and Tamil films including ‘Brahmastram’ (2006), ‘Raju Bhai’ (2007), and ‘Chapter 6’ (2014).

• He also worked as a scriptwriter in various South-Indian films.

• He appeared in the reality TV show, ‘Bigg Boss Telugu 4’ in 2020 along with Noel Sean, Gangavva, and Karate Kalyani.

  

• He won various awards as a director and as a child artist.

  

• He shared in his Facebook post that before his marriage, his weight was 128 Kg, later he shed his excessive body weight.
  

  

   

• Surya passed away due to jaundice at his residence in Chennai on 11 March 2024. He had been undergoing treatment for the same at the Gem Hospital in Chennai.
