• Surendra Patil was born and raised in Dombivli, Thane, Maharashtra.

However, four individuals were arrested in connection with this robbery, and Patil was charged with attempting to engage in the trade of fake currency.

• Surendra Patil has been booked at several police stations in Kalyan, Dombivli for 14 cases, including fraud, electricity theft, sexual assault and illegal possession of deadly weapons, including a firearm.

• Additionally, the police had also issued an externment order prohibiting him from entering Thane district in Maharashtra for one and a half years. However, he later succeeded in having the court cancel the deportation order, allowing him to return to the area.

• In April 2025, he was charged with two cases for sexually assaulting a woman and a teenage girl. Surendra Patil ran away from Dombivali when these two cases were registered. However, the Anti-Extortion Squad received information from Thane Police that he hid in the Hotel Celebration in Nashik.
