• Subodh Kant Sahay is an Indian politician who has served as a Member of Parliament for three terms, representing the Ranchi constituency in Jharkhand. • He is known for his close association with former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and former UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, who used to praise him for his honesty and dedication.

• He then served as a Union Minister of State Information and Broadcasting in the Government of India from November 1990 to June 1991.
