Some Lesser Known Facts About Sohaib Chaudhry

• Sohaib Chaudhry is a Pakistani anchor and YouTuber. He is known for running a YouTube channel, ‘Real Entertainment TV,’ where he covers the reaction of the people of Pakistan to various Hindu issues.

• He was born and brought up in Gujranwala but moved to Lahore for higher education.

• On 21 December 2019, he started working as a social mobilizer at NGO, Sangat Development Foundation.

• He joined the news channel Newzifi as an anchor/reporter on 1 October 2021.

• On 10 February 2022, he became an anchor/reporter at Digital Pakistan.

• While Sohaib was pursuing Journalism, he used to observe that many YouTubers recorded scripted reviews of Pakistanis about Indian news. He wanted to change it and thought of starting his own YouTube channel where he would record honest reviews of Pakistanis.

• He started his YouTube channel in 2019. After starting his YouTube channel, he started visiting the Liberty Market, Lahore where he used to ask people’s opinions about Muslims in India, the Kashmir partition, and inflation in Pakistan.

  

• He used to receive a lot of backlash and threats from other YouTubers and sometimes from the people he used to interview. They used to call him an Indian and said that he received money from India to make such content.

• In an interview, he talked about the problems he faced while starting his YouTube journey. He said that his seniors from the channels where he previously worked told him that if he made content about India, he would not get an opportunity to work in the mainstream media again.

• Despite this, he decided to work on India vs. Pakistan content because he wanted to change the mindset of people in Pakistan.

• He also started Mission Kashmir on his YouTube channel, where he used to ask people if Kashmir should be a part of India or Pakistan.

• In one of his YouTube videos, he said that he wishes to pursue an MPhil.

• He refers to himself as a social activist. In an interview, he said that in future he may leave making content on YouTube.

• In a YouTube video, he said that he wished to join politics, but before that, he wanted to learn the basics about it.

• On 24 August 2023, Sohaib’s interview with a man about India’s Chandrayaan-3 landing on the Moon’s South Pole went viral on social media. In the video, the Pakistani man said,
  

  Wo to paise laga ke jaa rahe hain na, hum to already chaand pe reh rahe hain aapko nahi pata tha (they are spending money to go to the Moon. We are already on the Moon. Didn’t you know).”
