  • He began playing in national-level Kabaddi championships for the Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association during his college days.
  • Reportedly, Ashok Shinde, an Arjuna award winner in Kabaddi, once noticed Shubham’s skills during a tournament organized by Puneri Paltan in Chiplun. Ashok then recommended Shubham Shinde’s name to the Puneri Paltan team for the 6th season of PKL in 2019. Thereafter, Shubham was selected for the new young player category based on his performance in the trials.
