Some Lesser Known Facts About Shruti Ranjan

• Shruti Ranjan is an Indian photographer. She is known for being the wife of TVF founder Arunabh Kumar.

• She has been working as a professional photographer since 2014. She has received training in photography under professionals including Jaideep Oberoi, Vickram Bawa, Rohinton Irani, Nrupen Madhwani, and Swapan Mukherjee.

• Shruti met Arunabh Kumar while pursuing her masters from IIT Bombay. Arunabh and Shruti met in 2003, when he had just started his TVF journey. Kumar and his friends were filming at a college, and because he had very low budgets for his movies, he requested the people around him to participate, which is how Shruti met Arunabh. Talking about how they met and fell in love, Arunabh narrated,
  

  We met at IIT Bombay where Shruti was pursuing her MSc in Environmental Science and it was not our love for acting that broke the ice but the discussions we had on Environmental Science and Meditation. She started dating me when I had no money, no work and no one knew me but she was always standing beside me. After, being diagnosed with partial blindness in my right eye because of depression, I actually started seeing things more clearly and what mattered to me the most. While I was racing against my treatment to create comic books and mentoring the team at TVF, we both decided to make our bond official. I am grateful to God and my teams at Indusverse & TVF that the completion of my comic books, success of my company’s latest Show Panchayat and my engagement, all have come together.”

• Shruti Ranjan discovered her passion for photography while working with Arunabh for his statup. She claims that he introduced her to a camera he owned and later she started practicing with it. Talking about it, she said,
  

  I remember that I went to meet him at his office back then and thought that it would be a proper work area instead of a bare storeroom like space. But it didn’t bother me. I realized he was a struggling entrepreneur and it inspired me. I discovered my love for photography through him after I found a DSLR in his house. He introduced me to Tracy at his office and I began assisting her in Photography projects and found my calling. He has gone through a roller-coaster in his life but I have always believed in him and will continue to do so.”

• After dating for almost seven years, the couple announced that they were getting engaged in 2020. The wedding was also suppose to happen within few months but due to the Covid 19 pandemic it became diifficult to happen. Talking about same, Shruti Ranjan replied,
  

  It is a tough time for the entire human race right now. Everyone is going through this together. People are constantly motivating each other by staying positive and that is exactly what we are doing too. We are looking for the silver lining which is our upcoming wedding and spending our courtship period planning the special day.”

• Shruti Ranjan and Arunabh Kumar tied the knot on 25 May 2022. The couple opted for a very intimate wedding with only a few close family members invited. Arunabh took to Instagram to make the official announcement about their wedding. He posted some pictures from the ceremony with the caption as follows,
  

  We tied the knot of holy matrimony a while back in presence of our immediate family members and wish for everyone’s blessing for both of us…and as we complete 10 years of companionship, we look forward to a journey ahead full of love and light.”

  

• As soon as Arunabh shared the images, his industry friends began congratulating the newly wed couple. Ekta Kapoor praised the pair on her Instagram stories, while Nakuul Mehta greeted them on their “forever togetherness.” Sumeet Vyas, who rose to prominence on TVF’s Permanent Roommates, congratulated the newlyweds in the post’s comments section. “Many Congratulations to both of you Arunabh @arunabhkumar look forward to the party,” Anup Soni replied. Gajraj Rao, Manish Paul, Saqib Saleem, Aahana Kumra, Guneet Monga, and many others also congratualted the couple for their wedding.
