Some Lesser Known Facts About Shreya Basu

• Shreya Basu is an Indian singer whose voice was first recognized in the Indian singing reality competition TV series ‘The Voice of Kids’ (2016).

• Since childhood, Shreya is fond of classical music. At the age of 3, she began her musical journey by learning music from her great guruji Shri Mahesh Bharti from Kirana Gharana.

• Her father, Tarun Basu, and brother, Siddharth Basu, also have a lifelong interest in music.

• At the age of 5, she performed on the stage as a member of the Sangam Kala group.

• She lent her voice to the popular Hindi cartoon titled Galli Galli Sim Sim (2006), which was telecasted on Cartoon Network, POGO, and DD1.

  

• Shreya was invited to perform at the FICCI auditorium in Delhi. The event was a tribute to Mohammed Rafi in which she sang his song ‘Tum Mujhe Yun Bhula Na Paogey.’

• She was one of the top 4 finalists in Voice Of Delhi (2016).

• Shreya has showcased her voice in many events including Delhi International Film Festival and Bhakti Ki Awaaaz (Fever 104 Fm).

• In 2016, Shreya appeared as a contestant in the Indian singing reality TV series titled The Voice of Kids (2016). Her performance was highly appreciated by the judges Shaan, Shekhar Ravjiani, and Neeti Mohan.

• She was also a contestant in the Indian music TV show titled Indian Idol (2021).

• In 2022, Shreya received massive social media attention after she posted an Instagram reel, singing the Hindi song ‘Mere Dholna’ from the 2007 Bollywood film titled Bhool Bhulaiyaa, at 3 AM.
