• Shiva Rindani was born and raised in a middle-class family in a small village of Rajkot, Gujarat.

• Shiva is an Indian actor primarily known for portraying roles as either villains or comedic characters in 90s films.

• He completes his higher secondary in a local school. For his higher studies, he enrolled in an engineering college in Rajkot, Gujarat and completed his degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Shiva was an exceptional student academically. In an interview, he revealed that he had never participated in any cultural events at school or college.

• After his engineering, he started watching theatre acts and suddenly gained an interest in acting.

• Earlier, his parents were against his decision to quit engineering and pursue into acting career. However, he convinced his parents and moved to Mumbai to pursue his dream of acting.

• In an interview, Shiva Rindani revealed that he faced many struggles to secure a role in the film industry because he was new to acting and did not know anyone in the industry.

• In 1984, he got his debut film, Ghar Ek Mandir, but his role was very short.

• His real name is Mukesh Rindani. Actor Jackie Shroff gave him the nickname “Shiva.” In an interview, he revealed that while on the set of the film Mera Jawab (1985), Jackie Shroff started calling him Shiva, and soon the entire crew started calling him Shiva. He himself liked this name and decided to change his name to Shiva Rindani.

• He got recognition as the villain in the Hindi film industry with the film Mera Jawab (1985).

• Shiva Rindani has worked in more than two hundred films in his career. Talking about the major films of his career, he has appeared in Dadagiri (1987), Dance Dance, Khooni Mahal, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1987), Halaal Ki Kamai (1988), Sindoor Aur Bandook (1989), Khatarnaak (1990), Hum (1991), Mere Sajana Saath Nibhana (1992), Billa No. 786 (2000), Indian (2001), and Kranti (2002).

• In an interview, Shiva Rindani shared that he was also cast in some of the shelved films (films that are not released due to some reasons) such as Miss Chaalbaaz (1988), Chaar Shoorveer(1986), Bhayanak Khopdi (1999), and Yeh Tadap(2000).

• Shiva Rindani also did notable work in the TV industry. Some of his famous TV shows are Gul Sanobar (1999), Ssshhhh… Koi Hai (2001) and Rudra Ke Rakshak (2017)

• Shiva Rindani appeared in a horror TV series titled The Zee Horror Show (1994). This was the first horror TV show on Indian Television.

• Rindani once revealed that after his film Janasheen (2003), he stopped getting film and faced financial crises. He added that paparazzi even started calling him a poor actor.

• In 2009, he got a TV show titled Black, but the show didn’t run for long.

• In 2013, he made his directorial debut with the film Raqt. However, the film did not perform well at the box office, and no production houses were giving him directing work.

• After a gap of 20 years, he got work in film and appeared in the film Monica, O My Darling (2022).
