Some Lesser Known Facts About Sheela Rajkumar

• Sheela Rajkumar wanted to become an actor ever since childhood.

  

• She used to take part in her local church’s fancy dress competitions for Christmas and Easter. She used to choose a character from The Bible and prepare for the show.

• After studying Bharatanatyam, Sheela began acting in the short films of Kalaignar TV’s reality show titled ‘Naalaya Iyakunar.’

•  In 2014, she got the chance to star in a telefilm which never got released. However, on the sets of the film she met Thambi Chozhan who was the director and acting coach of the film.

• Her family did not agree to her and Thambi’s wedding which made the couple went through tough times before finally deciding to shift to Chennai.

• After she moved to Chennai to increase her acting experience, she joined the Tamil theatre group named ‘Koothu-P-Pattarai.’

• In 2017, Sheela Rajkumar was cast in the Tamil drama film titled ‘To Let’ in which she played the character of Amudha.

  

• In the same year, she was cast in the Tamil YouTube Web Series titled ‘Livin’ in which she played the character of Thaen and was released on Put Chutney’s YouTube channel.

  

• In the same year, Sheela Rajkumar was cast in the Tamil soap opera titled ‘Azhagiya Tamil Magal’ in which she played the character of Poongkodi, however, she was replaced in 2019 by the Tamil actress Sathya Sai Krishnan. The series was telecast on Zee Tamil.

  

• In 2019, she was cast in the Malayalam drama film titled ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ in which she played the character of Sathi.

  

• In the same year, Sheela was cast in the Tamil action comedy-drama film titled ‘Namma Veettu Pillai’ in which she played the character of Thulasi’s mother.

  

• In 2020, she was cast in the Tamil YouTube short film titled ‘Shakshi’ in which she played the character of Shakshi. The short film was released on JFW- Just For Women’s YouTube channel.

  

• In the same year, Sheela was cast in another Tamil YouTube short film titled ‘Edhu Thevaiyo Adhuve Dharmam.’

  

• In 2022, Sheela Rajkumar appeared as a guest in the Tamil live morning talk show titled ‘Vanakkam Tamizha’ which aired on the Sun TV channel.

  

• In the same year, she appeared as a guest on the Tamil TV show titled ‘Something Something’ which was telecast on the Adithya TV channel.

• In the same year, Sheela Rajkumar was cast in the Tamil romantic mystery television mini-series titled ‘Pettaikaali’ in which she played the character of Thenmozhi. The TV series was aired on Aha Tamil channel.

  

• In 2023, Sheela Rajkumar was cast in the Tamil action drama film titled ‘Jigarthanda DoubleX’ in which she made a cameo appearance as Lourde.

  

• Sheela Rajkumar has been part of many Tamil films and some of them include ‘Manusangada’ (2017), ‘Asuravadham’ (2018), ‘Draupathi’ (2020), ‘Jothi’ (2022), and ‘Pichaikkaran 2’ (2023).
