• Shankar Gadai is an Indian Kabaddi player who played in the defender position for the team Telugu Titans in the tenth season of the Pro Kabaddi League held in 2023 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

• Shankar Gadai has played at various district Kabaddi tournaments where he represented districts like Ahmednagar, Palghar, and Gondia.

• In 2022, Shankar participated in the 36th National Games of India, held in the state of Gujarat, in which he represented the Maharashtra Kabaddi team as a captain and won the silver medal for the tournament.

• In the same year, Shankar won the ‘Top Performer of the Tournament Award’ at the 70th Senior Men’s & Women’s Maharashtra State Kabaddi Championship, in which he represented the district Ahmednagar.

  

• In 2022, Shankar was included in the squad of the Maharashtra team for the 69th Senior National Kabaddi Championship where the team won the silver medal.

• In the same year, he was selected by the team Gujarat Giants’ and was bought for 30.30 Lac rupees for the ninth season of the Pro Kabaddi League.

• Shankar represented the team in 20 matches with an overall tackle strike rate of 32% and a raid strike rate of 36%.

• In the following year, Shankar took part in the 37th National Games and represented the Maharashtra team that won the bronze medal in the championship.

• In 2023, Shankar Gadai was selected for the 10th season of the Pro Kabaddi League by the team ‘Telugu Titans’ and was bought for 13 lakh rupees. He had a strike rate of 37.5% and an average out rate of 42.86% in the tournament.

  

• Shankar started playing Kabaddi in his childhood and when he was in the 7th standard, he joined Kabaddi Academy located in his village. When he started playing local matches, he started paying for his own studies and got admission into a college.

• Shankar used to earn 300 rupees a day while working in the sugarcane fields. He used to get free by 5 pm and then go for his Kabaddi practices.
