• Shalmalee Desai is an Indian actress and TV writer known for her work in Hindi television shows. She was previously married to the renowned television actor Avinash Sachdev.

• She began her career at Zee Networks as a Marketing Management Trainee in June 2011. She completed her six-month training and later left the company in November 2011. However, she rejoined the company as an assistant brand manager in September 2021 and worked there for one year.

• She stepped into the television industry with the reality show ‘Lux The Chosen One’ (2012) in which she took part as a contestant and achieved the title of the winner. The show was aired on UTV Stars.
