Some Lesser Known Facts About Shabab Sabri

• Shabab Sabri was born and brought up in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh in a family of singers.

• His father wanted him to become a doctor, and his mother wanted him to become a singer.

• Since childhood, he was inclined towards singing. So, at the age of 14, he started his training in singing under Rashid Khan. During his training, he started performing in live shows along with his father.

• He also used to listen to his father’s songs for his training.

• Initially, he used to practice singing along with playing harmonium.

  

• He sang his debut song along with his father and uncle. After the song was released, he started getting many offers from Bollywood.

• He considers the Indian actor Salman Khan lucky for him.

  

• He has lent his voice to various genres like Sufi, Thumri, Ghazal, Romantic, and Classical.

• He loves to play Tabla.

  

• Shabab Sabri has lent his voice to more than 200 songs including “Yahan Zindagi Ek Alag” from Page 3 (2004), “Humka Peeni Hai” from Dabangg (2010), “Jalte Diye” from Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2017), “Hud Hud Dabangg” from Dabangg 3 (2019).

• In 2022, he appeared in the reality TV singing show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa along with other singers like Arpita Mukherjee, Bhavya Pandit, Sumedha Karmahe, and Kiran Kamath.

  

• On 13 December 2022, he performed live at the Fifa World Cup Fan Festival, Qatar.

• He has lent his voice to many songs of Bollywood singer and music composer Himesh Reshammiya.

• On 26 January 2023, he walked with Rahul Gandhi for a few kilometres in Bharat Jodo Yatra. He also sang a song for Rahul.
