Some Lesser Known Facts About Sariful Razz

• Sariful Razz is a Bangladeshi actor and model. He is known for his work in Dhallywood films. In 2023, he became the centre of attention, when some private videos involving him and certain actresses were leaked from his Facebook account, which led to his divorce from his wife, Pori Moni.

• After completing his senior secondary school in Sylhet, he made up his mind to go abroad. He moved to Dhaka in 2008 for the preparation for the IELTS exam. However, he later decided to change his mind and opted to continue his higher studies instead. ^[2]Kaler Kantho

• In 2009, he began his career by taking on small fashion jobs, where he earned only Rs 500.

• He started his career in the showbiz industry as a model in 2010. However, he got a break after he appeared on a special Eid billboard for a famous fashion company named Pride Limited, in 2012.

• Razz has modelled for several fashion houses including Code, Grameen Uniqlo, Texsmart, Zurheim, and Trendz.

  

• He has appeared on the cover of several renowned magazines including ‘Ice Today.’

  

• After making his acting debut with the film ‘Ice Cream’ (2016), he played the role of Sohel in the film ‘No Dorai’ (2019).

• In 2020, he played the role of Samir in the short web film ‘Mainkar Chipay,’ streamed on the OTT platform ZEE5.

  

• In the same year, he appeared in the web series ‘Infinity,’ which premiered on Binge. He played the role of Murad in the web series.

• He appeared in the web film ‘Networker Baire’ (2021) in which he played the role of Abir Chowdhury. The film was released digitally on the Bangladeshi OTT platform Chorki.

• His performance as SI Rahat in the Bangladeshi web series ‘Bilaap’ (2021) received immense appreciation from the audience.

  

• In the year 2022, four films featuring Sariful Razz were released. These films were titled ‘Poran,’ ‘Gunin,’ ‘Hawa,’ and ‘Damal.’

  

• In addition to the films and web series, he has also appeared in a few television commercials including for ‘Ispahani Mirzapur Tea.’

  

• In an interview, Sariful Razz talked about the challenges he encountered when he first arrived in Dhaka in 2008. He mentioned that during his initial year there, he didn’t have enough money to sustain himself in the city, which led him to move to Narayanganj and live with his uncle. However, he didn’t give up and later came back to Dhaka, where he worked hard to become a successful model and actor.

• After a few months of their marriage, Sariful Razz and Pori Moni began to experience some friction between them. On 31st December 2022, Pori Moni posted on Facebook that she and Sariful Razz were separating. She mentioned that she had already left Razz’s house on 30th December 2022. However, later in an interview with the Bangladeshi newspaper ‘Prothom Alo,’ she said that they hadn’t officially separated at that time. While talking about this in the interview, she said,
  

  I broke the relationship and came out of Razz’s residence. We parted ways today. I will send the divorce letter soon. ” ^[3]Prothom Alo

• During a live program called ‘Meril Café Live’ at the Prothom Alo office on 6th June 2023, Pori Moni asked for a divorce from Sariful Razz within 24 hours. This came after some private videos of Razz with three actresses named Sunerah Binte Kamal, Tanjin Tisha, and Nazifa Tushi, were leaked from his Facebook profile. ^[4]Prothom Alo Razz later stated that his Facebook account was hacked, and he was not responsible for the video leak, which was removed within a few minutes of uploading.
