Sanjukta Parashar is an IPS officer of 2006 Batch from Assam.
She is known for being first woman IPS officer from Assam. In fact, the first woman IPS from Assam was Yamin Hazarika of 1996 Batch.
She has secured 85th All India Rank. Instead of joining IAS she broke all taboos and joined Indian Police Services.
She was first posted as the Assistant Commandant of Makum in 2008 and in her next designation, she has taken the responsibility of controlling the clashes between Bodo and illegal Bangladeshi militants.
She is interested in the sports activity and does swimming, biking & running.
In just fifteen months, she arrested around 64 militant and seized numerous arms and illegal weapons.
