  • Sanjay Gadhvi was an Indian film director and writer known for his work in the Hindi film industry. He passed away on 19 November 2023 due to a heart attack.
  • He wanted to become a filmmaker since childhood.
  • After assisting Anant Balani on the film ‘Patthar Ke Phool’ (1991), he continued to work as his assistant director for two more films.
  • His first directorial venture was the film ‘Tu Hi Bataa,’ featuring Arjun Rampal and Raveena Tandon. However, the film was not released due to some budgetary issues.
  • Gadhvi’s directorial debut film ‘Tere Liye’ (2000) did not succeed at the box office.
  • In 2002, he directed the Hindi film ‘Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai,’ starring Jimmy Sheirgill and Uday Chopra.

  • On 19 November 2023, the filmmaker passed away due to a heart attack. Reportedly, he experienced the heart attack during his morning walk in Lokhandwala, where he felt chest pain. He was immediately taken to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. His cremation took place on Monday, 2o November 2023, at the Oshiwara Crematorium Ground in Mumbai.
