• Sambhabana Mohanty is an Indian actress, who predominantly works in Hindi and Odia TV serials. She is famous for appearing in the Hindi TV serial Rajaa Betaa (2019) and Odia films Mu Raja Tu Rani (2013) and Biswanath (2022).

• Sambhabana grew up in a middle-class family in Cuttack, Orissa.

  

• Sambhabana made her acting debut in 2013 with the Odia film Mu Raja Tu Rani as Chandrika, a police officer. The story of the film revolves around a small-time con artist named Biju (played by Arindam Roy) who falls in love with a girl named Chandrika. As the story unfolds, Biju ventures into the world of crime and double-crossing while Chandrika goes on to become a police official.

  

• In 2017, Sambhabana was featured in the music video of the Odia song Saajna. The song was sung by G.Durga Prasad.

  

• She came into the limelight after playing the role of Purva in the Hindi TV serial Rajaa Betaa (2019) aired on Zee5. She left the show after 6 months.

• In 2022, Mohanty shared the screen with Sambeet Acharya in the Odia film Biswanath.

• In the same year, she played the role of Damini (negative lead) in Zee Rishtey’s TV serial Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan. The story of the show revolves around Mohan (played by Shabir Ahluwalia), who once used to be a charmer and has turned into an intense man.

  

• In her spare time, she loves to read books.

• She is a trained classical dancer.

• During an interview, Sambhabana revealed that although she hardly watched television, her favourite actress (television) was Divyanka Tripathi.

• She is an avid dog lover and had a pet dog named Honey, who died in 2021.

  

• In 2019, Sambhabana Mohanty posted a picture with her mother on Twitter and captioned it as ‘Happiness is Ammi Jaan.’ As soon as she posted the picture, people started trolling her for calling her mother ‘Ammi Jaan’ and accused her of abandoning her roots. Later, giving a befitting reply to her trollers, Sambhabana wrote,
  

  So I got massively trolled and shamed by my fellow Odias because I used ‘Ammi Jaan’ to address my mom instead of ‘Maa’ or ‘Bou’ (the odia equivalent) on a post on social media; whereas it has never been an issue when I called her ‘Mom’ or ‘Mummy. The reasons given: I left my home state & forgot my roots, I want to convert to Islam, I mostly speak in English, I’m modern, I’ve studied so much that I have forgotten my culture and the funniest one being- I work in a Hindi show & thus I ridicule my mother tongue.”

• During an interview, Sambhabana revealed that she was very nervous when she got to know that she working with the television actor Shabir Ahluwalia in the Hindi TV serial Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan. She said,
  

  When I was informed that I will be working with Shabir sir for ‘Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan’, I was definitely a little nervous because I didn’t know how he would be on the set. However, the very first time we shot together, he made us feel very comfortable around him.”

• In the same interview, while sharing the details about her character in the TV serial Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan, Sambhabana said,
  

  Radha loves Mohan divinely, but the problem is she herself is not aware of this. I am playing a character named ‘Damini’ who is in love with Mohan, and now as per the demand of the situation, most probably, Mohan will be her. I am playing the character of a very strong and powerful lady.”

• In 2022, Mohanty received the Best Actor in a Negative Character (Best Khalnayak) award for her performance as Damini in the Hindi TV serial Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan at Zee Rishtey Awards.
