• Samaira Sandhu is an Indian actress, model, author, former beauty queen, and entrepreneur. She is known for her work in the Tamil film Dhayam, Punjabi film Umran Ch Ki Rakheya (2022), and Hindi film Bharateeyans (2023).

• From a young age, she showed a creative inclination and a love for performing arts. She would actively participate in theatre, dance competitions, and sports during her school and college days. As a kid, she learned classical dance and was part of a theatre group. In fact, she won a gold trophy at a state-level theatre competition.

• She began her career in the entertainment industry as a beauty queen, winning titles at various beauty pageants.

• She completed her formal education in Chandigarh. Thereafter, she started working as a software engineer in a multinational company. Soon, her inclination towards the film industry led her to drop her corporate job.

• She appeared as a model in the 2016 music video of the Punjabi song Sohn Rabb di Main from Jaspinder Narula’s album in MAUT – In Search of Love.

Not only did she showcase her acting skills, but she also played a part in the behind-the-scenes process, assisting the series writer and director Neeraj Pathak to learn the nuances of filmmaking.

• In 2015, Samaira authored a book titled “Heaven in a Hell,” presenting a fictional narrative about a determined young woman facing the consequences of drug addiction, which led to the loss of her aspirations.
