• Salil Jamdar is an Indian YouTuber, actor, singer, and writer. Salil Jamdar is known for creating authentic parody songs and funny videos that he posts on his Instagram account and on his YouTube channel, Salil Jamdar & Co.

• Salil Jamdar was a school topper. He decided to appear for the IIT JEE entrance exam in 12th standard, but he did not score enough marks to get admission in his dream college – IIT. Later, Salil settled for an engineering course at KJ Somaya College, Vidhyavihar.

• Salil started working in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Mumbai after completing his graduation. However, he decided to leave his job after six months and joined a film making and acting course at Whistling Woods International. Along with acting, Salil also observed and picked up some behavioral traits of many actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan.

  

• Salil Jamdar began his YouTube journey in 2014 with the web series Shudh Desi Endings. Later, the producers of Shudh Desi Endings reached out to him and offered him to start a YouTube channel where he would post parodies of several songs and movies. He started the channel Shudh Desi Gaane in the year 2015.

• Salil Jamdar is also known for making videos to spread awareness regarding certain concerning topics for all generations. Salil made a small series for his YouTube channel. The series was titled ‘Asli Mard’ and he made this in collaboration with YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani and rapper Raftaar.

• After mastering the art of making spoofs of Bollywood songs, Salil decided to try his hand at English songs, and his first project was Bruno Mars’s ‘Uptown Funk.’ The spoof got over 1 lakh views in the first week of its release.

• One of the toughest videos that Salil had to shoot was when he was making the parody video of Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo’s title track and had to shave his hands and back, and dance barefoot while he was wearing a 25kg lehenga. He is backed by a whole team of choreographers, directors, and producers looking after the logistical and technical requirements of the videos.

• Salil Jamdar released his new song ‘Tere Jaane Se’ on 23 November 2020. Shaina was a part of the production team for the video. The video went on to have more than one million views.

• Salil is a passionate animal lover, and he is often spotted spending time with his labrador dog, Simba.

  

• In his leisure time, Salil Jamdar likes to play tennis.
