Some Lesser Known Facts About Sabih Khan

• When he was in fifth grade, his family moved to Singapore from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. Later, he relocated to the United States.

• After completing his formal education, Sabih Khan worked at General Electric (GE) Plastics. His roles there included applications development engineer and key account technical leader.

• Sabih Khan joined Apple’s procurement group in 1995.

• He has held various roles at the company and helped bring many of Apple’s new products to market.

• On 27 June 2019, he was appointed as Senior Vice President of Operations at Apple, where his team worked on building partnerships with eco-friendly (green) manufacturing suppliers.

• His department also handled changes in supplier operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

• Sabih Khan manages Apple’s global supply chain.

• He is also in charge of Apple’s programs that ensure suppliers follow rules and act responsibly.

• On 8 July 2025, Apple chose Sabih Khan as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). He took over the role from Jeff Williams.

• In its statement, the company said that Sabih Khan’s appointment as COO had been planned for a long time.

• After this, Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, called Sabih Khan a ‘brilliant strategist’ in the media. Cook said,
  

  Sabih is a brilliant strategist who has played a key role in building Apple’s supply chain. He leads with heart and lives his values. I am confident that he will be an outstanding COO.”
