Some Lesser Known Facts About Rubina Dilaik

• Rubina Dilaik is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Hindi television shows. She is known for playing the lead character Radhika in Zee TV’s popular show Chotti Bahu in 2008. In 2016, Rubina Dilaik again received popularity in Colors TV’s show ‘Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ in which Rubina Dilaik played the role of Soumya Singh. In 2020, she was the winner of the Indian reality show ‘Bigg Boss Season 14.’

• Rubina Dilaik won the Miss Shimla contest in 2006. Later,  she won many other beauty contests. During her school days, Rubina Dilaik participated in several national-level debate championships.

• In 2008, Rubina Dilaik was the winner of the Miss North India pageant organised in Chandigarh.

• Initially, Rubina wanted to become an IAS officer. However, during her exam preparation days, she auditioned for the television serial Chotti Bahu in Chandigarh and got selected for the same. Rubina Dilaik made her acting debut in 2008 with the television serial Chhoti Bahu and played the character of Radhika Shastri in the serial opposite Avinash Sachdev.

  

• In 2012, Rubina Dilaik appeared in the television show ‘Saas Bina Sasural,’ which was aired on Sony TV. In this serial, she played the role of Simran “Smiley” Gill.

• In 2013, Rubina Dilaik was cast in the Zee TV’s Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed opposite Karan Grover, and in this serial, she played the character of Divya Jakhotia.

• In 2012, Rubina Dilaik appeared in the television serial Jeannie Aur Juju, which was telecasted on SAB TV. In this serial, she played the role of Jeannie.

  

• Rubina Dilaik appeared in Life OK’s mythological show Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev as Sita in 2013. From 2016 to 2020, Rubina Dilaik appeared in the show Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, which was aired on Colors TV. In this serial, she played the role of a transgender woman Soumya Singh opposite Vivian Dsena.

• In 2022, Rubina Dilaik made her Bollywood debut with the film Ardh. The Indian music composer-singer Palaash Muchhal was the director of the film. The other cast of the film includes Hiten Tejwani and Rajpal Yadav. In September 2021, the filming of the movie Ardh started, and it was announced to be released on Netflix in 2022. Reportedly, during the auditions of the film Ardh, Rubina Dilaik was selected among 50 girls in the look-test.

• In an interview with a media house, Rubina Dilaik’s husband, Abinav Shukla, stated that Rubina was a bigger and more successful person than him. He said,
  

  Somebody would be a fool who doesn’t admit she is more successful. She is doing more work than I am, that’s a fact. But I know she is more successful than me, but that’s the profession, once she is at home, she is my wife…So, professionally, we are sorted. We are secure. And, I have no problem accepting the fact that she is more successful.”
