• Romi Bhatia is a businesswoman and the wife of former Indian cricketer and coach, Kapil Dev.

  

• She met Kapil Dev through a common friend, Sunil Bhatia, in a party in Mumbai. They soon became friends, and later, Kapil fell in love with her.

  

• One day, while travelling to Mumbai in a train together, Kapil proposed Romi in a filmy way. He said.

Dear, would you like to take pictures of this beautiful place? We can show the picture to our children in the future.”

• Romi was attracted towards his simplicity and humbleness. She accepted his proposal, and the couple got married in 1980.
