Some Lesser Known Facts About Riley Green

• Riley Green was interested in music and sports from a very young age.

• His music inspiration was his grandfather, Bufford Green, who had a music joint during his growing-up years. He started songwriting at the age of 14.

  

• In college, he played football and was an NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) quarterback.

• In 2013, he released an extended play in his name on iTunes and Spotify. At the start of his music career, he played in clubs and bars.

• He was one of the contestants in the reality show Redneck Island (season 4) on CMT in 2014. He and Becky Andrews won the competition, and the prize was $100,000.

  

• He self-released the song, Outlaws Like Us in 2017, which was ranked 24th in the Top Independent Albums chart and fifth in the Heatseekers charts, published by Billboard magazine. The song was later added to the album Different ‘Round Here.

• In 2018, he signed a contract with Big Machine Label Group (BMLG), now known as Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment.

• His other music albums are Ain’t My Last Rodeo (2023) and Don’t Mind If I Do (2024).

• He has collaborated with other artists for songs such as Half of Me (2022) with Thomas Rhett, Everybody Get Along (2023) with Justin Moore and Different ‘Round Here with Luke Combs (released in 2023 in Riley Green’s album Ain’t My Last Rodeo).
