• Ranjini Jose grew up in a middle-class family of musicians.

  

• She was born into a family of musicians. In childhood, she used to accompany her parents to various recording studios. Gradually, she started developing an interest in music.

• While she was in class 9, she participated in the music group Cochin Chorus Troupe. She then performed the song Unaru Unaru written by S. Janaki.

• She did her training in music under the Indian singer Santosh Verma.

• During her class 12, she received an offer to sing in the Malayalam film ‘Melevaryathe Malakhakkuttikal.’

• She grew up listening to various singers like Ilayaraja, S Janaki, ABBA, Boney M, and Michael Jackson.

• She has also worked with the National award-winning singers Santosh Keshav and KS Chitra.

• In 2009, she participated in the reality TV show ‘Sangeetha Mahayudham’ telecasted on Surya TV.

• Ranjini Jose met her ex-husband DJ Ram Nair at a friend’s wedding. After which they became good friends through Facebook. After dating each other for a few years, they got married on 27 November 2013. However, their marriage did not last long, and they got divorced in 2018.

• She started her music band Eka in November 2017. The music band has five members. With the band members, Ranjini Jose has performed in various music genres like Hindustani music, Carnatic music, folk music, Indian pop, and rock music.

• The name of the band is taken from the mantra ‘Ekam Eva Advaithiyam,’ which means there is only one power.

• She has performed on stage with various Indian singers like KK.

  

• In 2022, Jose, along with her band, performed at the Bhopal Campion School Auditorium.
