Rani Hazarika Bollywood playback singer and musician, who has recorded over 1000 songs in various languages including Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Oriya, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kashmiri.
Rani has been performing on stage since she was 3 and a half years old.
At the age of six, Rani Hazarika started studying Indian classical music and started giving stage performances.
Her father, Rose Hazarika, taught her the fundamentals of music.
She took training for professional music from Santhosh Pandit and Jaspinder Narula, a Bollywood playback singer and got several opportunities to record jingles.
She was in the eighth standard when she became a household face in Assam.
Rani Hazarika contested Indian Idol- Season 3 at the age of 23. She sang the song “Kaisi Paheli Zindgani and was placed among the top 30 contestants. In an interview, while talking about her experience, Rani Hazarika said,
I left for the Indian Idol auditions (season 3) at 3 am from home. I was confident that I’ll be the first one to be in the line but I was shocked to see that there were already 500-600 people in the line. everybody stood in the line till 3-4 pm and Rani stood there, hungry, with a bottle of water only. Rani received a call from a lyricist, named Kumar Ji, at 11:30 pm to appear at the studio. After being totally unaware of the film’s name, she recorded the song ‘Nas Nas Mein’ in 20-25 minutes.”

She has performed playback singing in a number of Assamese films and albums.
After performing the songs “Udi Baba” and “Hari Om Hari” on stage live for the first time, Rani began to be offered possibilities for music shows. Rani Hazarika has given live performances at numerous exhibitions and private gatherings.
In 2009, Rani provided playback vocals for a folk song in a Punjabi movie titled EK-The Power of One, which starred Bobby Deol.
In 2006, Rani lent her voice to the Telugu film Yeh Kaisa Karz (Boss). In 2022, Rani Hazarika recorded a song for the Tamil movie Victim.
She lent her voice to a number of well-known Hindi songs including Kammo from the film Department (2012) and Sarkar from the film Udanchhoo (2018).
In Mumbai, Rani Hazarika and her husband Jaan Nissar Lone established AR Music Studios in 2014, the first worldwide record label for Jammu and Kashmir with the rights to over 3000 mainstream songs. The vast bulk of the music videos that AR Music Studios has created were filmed in Kashmir. Afghan songs Harmukh Bartal, Tamanna-Dua, and Durey’r are just a few of the Kashmiri songs that AR Music Studios produced in 2022.
Rani Hazarika rose to fame after collaborating with Shabab Sabri and Meet Brothers on the Hindi song Nas Nas Mein from the film Welcome Back (2015), starring Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar.
In 2014, Rani Hazarika and her husband founded Jammu and Kashmir’s first international music record label AR Music Studios in Mumbai, which owns right over 3000 mainstream songs. The majority of the music videos produced by AR Music Studios have been shot in Kashmir. They recorded several songs including Teri Yaad (2021), Bandeya (2020), Rouvmut Dildar (2020), Ya Nabi Salam Alayka (2020), Fariyaad (2019), Maenzi Raath (2018), Jugni- folk song (2017), and Peer Myanio (2016). Rani’s song “Salam E Wazwane” (2019) was highly appreciated by the Kashmiri audience.

She had previously performed a song for the same movie called Welcome Back, but it was cut for a variety of reasons.
Rani Hazarika is a member of the Assamese Hazarika dynasty.
