After graduation, Ram joined the ‘Shriram Centre for Performing Arts’ in New Delhi to learn acting.

In 1996, he started working at ‘Shri Ram Centre Repertory’ company as an A-grade actor and worked there till 1998.

He worked with several famous theater artists like ‘Habib Tanvir’, ‘Ranjit Kapoor’, ‘B. M. Shah’, ‘Fritz Bennewitz’, ‘M. K. Raina’, etc.

Ram Awana made his Bollywood debut in 2000 with the film ‘Jungle’ as Zinda.
