Some Lesser Known Facts About Raktim Thakuria

• Raktim Thakuria is an Indian dancer and choreographer who came into the limelight in 2021 when he appeared as a contestant in the dance reality show India’s Best Dancer 2.

• Growing up in Guwahati, Assam, Thakuria was passionate about dancing since childhood. He spent his school days participating in various dance competitions.

  

• Apart from being a proficient dancer, he is also a skilful rapper and beatboxer. In 2018, Thakuria was featured in a student short film titled ‘Crazy B- Story of a Rapper’ by Manaskam Kakati as a part of Manaskam’s college project. In the short film, Thakuria played the role of an insane rapper.

• Thakuria has a cat named Iris. He posts various pictures with Iris on his Instagram account.

  

• A number of times, he has collaborated with the dance group ‘The A-Team Kolkata’ for various dance choreography videos, uploaded on A-Team’s YouTube channel.

• He was also associated with The Ace Dance Crew India as a dance trainer who took hip-hop and urban choreography classes in 2019.

  

• In 2019, he contested in the reality TV dance competition show ‘Dance Plus 5’ in which he was a member of the dance group The Ace, which advanced to the top ten.

  

• In 2021, he appeared as a contestant in the dance reality TV show India’s Best Dancer 2, which aired on the Sony Entertainment Television channel. In the show, he was choreographed by the dancer, choreographer, and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 9 winner Aryan Patra.
