Some Lesser Known Facts About Rajiv Laxman

• He was born as an identical twin along with his brother Raghu Ram.

  

• While he was studying in school, he was a shy kid and was bullied by his classmates.

  

• There used to be a superstitious lady called Venkata Subamma in Andhra Pradesh in 1974, who told Rajiv’s grandfather that after a year he would have twin grandsons; Ram and Laxman.

  

• Once, he was sitting outside a Gurudwara and he felt as if someone slapped him, when he reached his home he came to know that Raghu was slapped at home at the same time when he felt the pain.

• He started his career as a spot-boy in a TV serial for Doordarshan.

• In 2003, he started a media company in New Delhi, but later, he shut down the company.

• In the same year, he was associated with the MTV Immies-Indian Music Excellence Awards.

• Rajiv’s wife and his brother Raghu’s first wife looked quite similar and people used to consider their wives twins.

  

• In 2007, he started a broadcasting and media production company named Colosceum Media Pvt. Ltd. along with his brother.

• He was not always bald, he went bald just for MTV Roadies to look like Raghu.

  

• In 2011, Raghu-Rajiv worked as a producer in the Zee TV reality TV show ‘Jaanbaaz.’

• He joined Raghu in a few seasons of MTV Roadies as a judge. In 2014, Raghu and Rajiv left the TV show.

• In 2014, Rajiv, along with his brother Raghu, started a content creation company named Monozygotic Solutions Private Limited.

  

• In 2016, Rajiv appeared in the Hindi film ‘Dhanak.’

• In 2017, Raghu and Rajiv launched their Amazon Prime Video reality show ‘Skulls & Roses.’ They worked as hosts, writers, and producers in the show.

• In July 2017, Rajiv and Raghu started the reality TV show ‘Dropout Pvt Ltd,’ which was aired on MTV channel.

  

• He once made a cameo in ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ along with his brother.

  

• Rajiv and Raghu hosted the Hindi reality TV show ‘India’s Best Judwaa’ in 2017; which aired on Zee TV.

• In 2019, Raghu and Rajiv started their Amazon Prime Video reality show ‘Skulls & Roses.’

  

• In 2023, Raghu and Rajiv started their podcast show ‘Mencyclopedia with Raghu & Rajiv.’

  

• He is an avid animal lover and owns a few pet dogs named Ark and Zuk Zuk. He also owns a pet cat.

  

• In his leisure time, he enjoys travelling to different places.

  

• Rajiv and Raghu have been associated with the celebrity cricket league Box Cricket League for the team Chandigarh Clubs.

  

• He has hosted as well as judged a few TV shows like ‘The Player’ and ‘Nat Geo Covershot.’

• He has appeared as one of the motivational speakers at TEDx talks.
