• In 1990, Rajiv Anand started working as a local currency trader at HSBC in Mumbai. He worked there until 1994, trading government and corporate bonds.

• From February 1997 to 1999, he worked as Manager for Balance Sheet Management at ANZ Grindlays Bank. During this job, he managed the bank’s liquidity and interest rate risks.
