Some Lesser Known Facts About Raj Zutshi

• When he was 5-6 years old, he started reciting poems and started acting in plays in his school and later while studying in college in Delhi.

  

• After moving to Hyderabad from Delhi, he started acting at a theatre group and said in an interview that he felt very happy while acting.

• He later went to Bengaluru (aka Bangalore) and started working in an advertising agency where met a film director and Indian actor Nana Patekar who persuaded him to come to Mumbai. ^[6]YouTube – BIFF Mumbai

  

• In the early 1980s, he came to Mumbai where he auditioned for Ketan Mehta’s film Holi. He has featured in more than 100 Hindi films including Parda Hai Parda (1992), Maachis (1996), Lagaan (2001), Love Aajkal (2009), and Article 370 (2024).

  

• Raj has appeared in a few English films including Slumdog Millionaire (2008).

  

• He has acted in many TV series such as Mrityunjay (1996) aired on Doordarshan and Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon (2012), broadcast on Colors TV.

  

• He featured in a Hindi song Ghar Jana Hai by Konark Sarangi in 2017.

  

• Raj worked as a dubbing artist in 2019 and dubbed the role of Michael Keaton in the Hindi version of the English film Dumbo.

• He likes nature and visited the headquarters of the Foundation for the Contemplation of Nature named Vrikshalaya Himalayan Center, Ranikhet.

  

• A video went viral in 2023 that showed Raj and Aamir Khan sticking the posters of their film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in autorickshaws. He played the role of Shyam Prakash in the film.
