Raiza Dhillon is the first Indian to qualify in the Olympic Games Paris 2024 skeet event.
In childhood, she got interested in guns used for trophy hunting by her grandfather and father.
Her mother initially was not in favour of her choosing shooting, and she tried to introduce her to other sports such as tennis and swimming.
She liked to practice with toy guns on empty cans and bottles and started formally practising at age 12.
She started training under Amrinder Singh Cheema, a friend of her father, international shooter, and four-time national winner at Motibagh Gun Club in Patiala.
