It was initially agreed that Bohra would receive the entire income from the film, which would then be divided equally among the partners, with each partner getting a 33% share. [2]India Today
  • In 2020, Rahul approached the Delhi High Court and filed a complaint against Tigmanshu Dhulia, a film producer. Rahul claimed that he had been assigned all the rights to the film by Dhulia. He argued that the unauthorized uploading of the movie on YouTube had infringed upon his rights and caused him significant financial loss since he couldn’t sell the movie’s rights to platforms like Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. The high court then ordered Google LLC, which owns YouTube, to remove the film from its platform. YouTube and Google LLC were also asked to respond to the lawsuit. During the virtual proceedings, YouTube’s lawyer clarified that YouTube is an intermediary platform and cannot be held responsible for the uploaded content. The lawyer also mentioned that if Rahul had provided the specific URL of the copyrighted material, YouTube would have taken it down. YouTube further stated that the person or entity responsible for uploading the movie should have been included as a defendant in the lawsuit.
