In 1996, her elder brother, Sridhar Vembu, founded a company AdvenNet in Tambaram, Chennai. Later, in 2009, it combined with the Zoho Corporations and gradually the firm expanded. Sridhar started with an investment of about 1 lakh rupees and a four-member team. Radha joined the company in 2007, and she has successfully managed to position the products of her company among the top five business e-mail providers globally, competing with Microsoft and Google; moreover, she also handles Zoho Workplace, where she manages a team of 250 people and is involved in the process of the 45-plus products of Zoho Corporation. Talking about which, she said,

Along with Zoho, she manages two companies as a director, such as ‘Janaki hi-tech Agro Private Limited’ and Highland Valley Corporation Private Limited.’
Janaki hi-tech Agro Private Limited was started on 22nd March 2011, it is a non-government organization working in the agricultural field.
Highland valley Corporation Private Limited was started on 20th April 2012, a non-government organization. It is a real estate company, working on completion of the buildings.

She has been featured on the list of the Hurun Richest Self-Made Women in the World 2020. According to Forbes Radha Vembu took the 60th spot on the Hurun list (net worth wise). She is also counted among the list of self-made women Billionaires all across the globe.

Sambamurthy Vembu, Radha’s father, quoted a swimming pool incident, when his son, Kumar, took his family to the Madras Race Club to spend the evening. Radha’s son, Aditiya, was 4 years old at that time, and he wanted to play in the swimming pool while others watched a movie in the open theatre. So, to fulfil his desire Radha took him to the swimming pool that was 200 feet away from where all were seated. Radha seated beside the pool to look after her son, Aditiya, while Sambamurty’s brother’s son, Murli, was swimming in the adult area near him. At the time of departure, Radha asked Murli to take care of Aditiya and went downstairs to bring a towel for wiping Aditiya. By the time she came back, she found Aditiya missing from the kid’s swimming section and rushed towards the pool. Immediately, she heard a voice from the first floor of an adjacent building shouting,

Save the child!! He is drowning!!!”

It was dim in the evening, she could only see Aditiya’s hands above the water drowning in the adults swimming section. Without wasting a second, she immediately dived into the water and saved the child from drowning. After the incident, the family was in a state of shock while Murli was having fun at the pool and was unaware of all the incident that took place.
