Some Lesser Known Facts About Rabia Imran

• Rabia Imran is the daughter of Shehbaz Sharif, the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan.

• Rabia belongs to a family that has a political background. Her father, Shehbaz Sharif, was appointed as the Prime Minister of Pakistan on 11 April 2022. Her brother, Hamza Shahbaz was elected as the Chief Minister of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab on 16 April 2022.

• Her family is usually involved in controversies because of their involvement in money laundering cases and corruption charges.

• In 2012, CCTV footage showed Rabia fighting with the bakery owner. This created a controversy, and the public questioned the behaviour of children of elite families. ^[4]Daily Motion

• In 2019, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summoned Rabia, and she appeared in court on 18 April 2019 in connection to the assets beyond means case. In an interview, her brother, Hamza talked about this and said,

• In 2021, a Pakistani court declared Leader of Opposition Shahbaz Sharif’s daughter and son-in-law as ‘proclaimed offenders’ (POs) in the Saaf Pani Company corruption case. Rabia’s father said that the entire matter was‘ political victimisation.’

• In 2022, the Lahore accountability court issued arrest warrants for Rabia and her husband, Imran Yousuf. The court also ordered the seizure of the movable and immovable properties of both the accused.
