Some Lesser Known Facts About Priyanka Senapati

• Priyanka Senapati was born in a middle-class Odia family.

• She was fond of travelling and decided to blog her travels on social media.

  

• As of May 2025, she has 14,700 subscribers on her YouTube channel ‘Prii_vlogs’ and 20,000 followers on her Instagram ‘Priyanka Senapati.’

• On March 25, she uploaded a video of her visit to Pakistan on her YouTube channel with the title “Odia Girl in Pakistan | Kartarpur Corridor Guide | Odia Vlog”.

  

• She came into the headlines in May 2025 when another travel blogger, Jyoti Malhotra, was arrested in Hisar on the accusation of espionage for Pakistan. Around the same time, many other people, including a student named Devendra Singh Dhillon from Kaithal, were also detained.

• Many people observed that Senapati helped Malhotra when she travelled to Puri in September 2024. They went to Jagannath Temple together and also shot their blogs together.

• They later went to Kashmir, including Pahalgam, Kerala, and later to Pakistan through the Kartarpur Corridor.

  

• Her father claimed that Jyoti Malhotra did not visit their house in Puri. He also defended Priyanka Senapati and said that she was just a student and did not know that Malhotra was spying for Pakistan.

• After the allegations of espionage, the local police officers claimed that they had not arrested her, but were thoroughly checking the details.

• She turned on the privacy setting on her Instagram and Facebook accounts after the news channels started reporting about her.

• She uploaded an Instagram story and wrote, “Jyoti was just a friend of mine, and I came in contact with her through YouTube. I was unaware of anything that she is accused of. I would not have been in touch with her if I knew she was spying for enemy Pakistan.”
