• Prema Kiran was an Indian actress and film producer. She well known for working in the Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati, and Bhojpuri films. Some of her most iconic films include Dhoom Dhadak (1985), Kunku Zale Vaari (2005), Madness (2001), Arjun Deva (2001), and Lagnachi Varat Londonchaya Gharat (2009).

• The actress attended a government school in her locality for her primary and secondary education. Later, she went to Savitribai Phule Pune University to pursue her higher education.

• Prema Kiran started her acting career in the early 80s. She gave some remarkable performances during her career some of which include Dhoom Dhadak (1985), Kunku Zale Vaari (2005), Madness (2001), Arjun Deva (2001), and Lagnachi Varat Londonchaya Gharat (2009).

• Apart from being an actress, she was  also a film producer to films like Utwala Navra and Tharkaup.

• In 1989, she got the opportunity to feature in the film Utwala Navra, which proved to be breakthrough for her career. She earned huge critical acclaims for her performance in this film.

• The veteran actress breath her last on 1 May 2022 in Mumbai. Reportedly, the reason for her sudden demise was a major heart attack. After hearing the news of the actress’s demise, the whole film industry was saddened and shocked. Several actors and producers payed tribute to the late actress through their social media posts.
