• Prashanth Rai is an Indian kabaddi player. He came into the limelight when he participated as a raider in the first Season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) in 2014.

• During his college days, he was part of his college kabaddi team which won many national championships for three consecutive years.

• In 2006, Prashanth Rai represented the Karnataka State Police Team in the South India Men’s Kabaddi championships.

  

• In the first three Seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League, Prashanth Rai played for Telugu Titans as a backup for the kabaddi players Rahul Chaudhary and Sukesh Hegde. During Season 2, he scored 54 points in 15 games for Telugu Titans. He then moved to Dabang Delhi in Season 4, and in Season 5, he joined the Haryana Steelers and played a crucial role in taking the team to the playoffs.

• In season 6 of PKL in 2018, UP Yoddha invested Rs. 79 Lakhs in him, the highest bid for him in his PKL career, and the highest for a category B player in Season 6 auctions. In PKL Season 6 with UP Yoddha, Prashanth Rai scored 147 points in 21 matches, surpassing 100 raid points in a season.

  

• In the 7th Season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) in 2019, Haryana Steelers acquired him. He is known for his aggressive playing style.

  

• In May 2022, he represented the Bank of Baroda kabaddi team during the South India kabaddi tournaments organised at Chettikulam in district Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.

  

• In Season 8 of PKL in 2022, Prashanth Rai played for Patna Pirates and moved to Gujarat Giants in the 9th and 10th Seasons of PKL.
