Some Lesser Known Facts About Pranjal Aggarwal

• Pranjal Aggarwal is an Indian student who secured an All India Rank (AIR) 4 in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2023. She holds the first rank in the female category and second rank in the General category of NEET UG 2023.

• She aspired to become a doctor since childhood.

• While studying in school, Pranjal Aggarwal used to actively participate in various extra-curricular activities in addition to her studies. She often took part in painting competitions, speech competitions, and writing competitions in her school.

• Pranjal Aggarwal possesses a deep passion for writing. Several of her articles have been featured in the ‘My Column’ section of ‘The Tribune.’

  

• In her 9th grade, Pranjal Aggarwal participated in the Zonal level National Science Olympiad and achieved first place. As a reward, she received a Certificate, a Gold Medal, and a cash prize of Rs 5000.

  

• In her 11th grade, she enrolled at M.L. Syal’s Helix Institute situated in Chandigarh. She dedicated a span of two years to diligently preparing for the NEET UG examination at the institute.

• Pranjal Aggarwal appeared in the NEET UG examination held on 7 May 2023, the results of which was announed on 13June 2023. She achieved an overall rank of 4 in the NEET UG examination and she attained the remarkable distinction by securing the 1st rank in the female category and the 2nd rank in the General category. She was the only women to secure a position in the top 10 rank holders.

• In an interview after NEET-UG 2023 result, she expressed her keen interest in pursuing MBBS at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) located in New Delhi. In the same interview, she revealed her aspirations of specializing in either cardiology or neurology.

• Pranjal Aggarwal revealed in an interview that she never missed her school due to her private coaching. She said that she used to alternate between online and offline classes for private coaching according to her school’s schedule. In the same interview, she advised the upcoming aspirants to study the NCERT books. While talking about it in the interview, she said,
  

  I would advise upcoming aspirants that they can skip any book but not NCERT. You get direct questions from NCERT in the paper. I have come across many candidates who did only NCERT and have scored excellent.” ^[3]The Indian Express
