  • In 1985, he became a member of the Panel of Presiding Members of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
  • In 1986, he became a Member of the Public Accounts Committee of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
  • In 1989, he became a Member of the Business Advisory Committee, Joint Committee on Public Sector Undertakings and Corporations and Estimates Committee under the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly and remained till 1991. In 1993, he again became a member of the committee and remained for a year and again in 2007, he became a member and remained for a year.
